In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the start of the Civil War, the Performing Arts Series is proud to present Barter Theatre for a third season. The stirring and passionate true stories of the people who lived through the greatest conflict in our nation’s history as told in their own words and woven with traditional music of the period that will inspire you in ways you never thought possible.
This play is filled with the courage, sacrifice, personal suffering and triumph of the people and time that galvanized our nation, giving a perspective on the Civil War that is not contained in any history books. In addition to this public evening performance Barter Theatre will be presenting a matinee performance for area students and the public to attend, and a master class is available at an area school.
